We have been trading for nearly two decades. In that time, we have grown from a trade counter to a specialist trade and retail shop with a dedicated bathroom showroom, now also featuring modular bedroom furniture.
G & M Plumbing and Heating Ltd are a specialist plumbers’ merchant with a large bathroom showroom on the outskirts of Colchester, between the Marks Tey and Stanway junctions of the A12 on London Road. We specialise in first-class customer service and competitive pricing across our range of products.

Here’s our Shop Manager, Nick McCartney. He’s been with us for 8 years working between running our showroom and the tradecounter. He’s an expert in interior design, often sharing tips and ideas with our customers. When off-duty, he loves experimenting with DIY projects or spending time with his two cats, Apollo and Atlas.
Chris Barnes is the Showroom Director, who’s been with us for a year. With 5 years of hands-on plumbing under his belt and 22 years in retail plumbing, he’s your go-to for anything in the showroom. Away from work, he travels to antique fairs with Dory, his dog, and spends his leisure watching Colchester United matches.
Meet Adam Moulds, a long-standing G&M sales associate who’s wrapping up his ninth year with us. Ask him about the 8 years he lived and worked in China—you’ll love those stories. Mixing study sessions in Psychology and Criminology with drum and guitar sessions, he’s your guy for an engaging conversation on pretty much anything.
Paul is an ex-firefighter who’s been with G&M for 6 years, offering valuable advice to customers based on his lengthy experience. When he’s not talking shop, you’ll find him restoring bikes or enjoying the great outdoors with his dogs.
Tim Gould is that guy who started running marathons at 40 and hasn’t slowed down since—already five marathons down, with three in London! He celebrates being a part of team G&M for a year, but his industry experience stretches over 35 years. You’ll see him just about everywhere—from the showroom to our tradecounter.
Barry Green has been with us for 5 years. He had a fantastic 30-year run in the printing industry before joining us. Here, he helps with fittings, sees deliveries, and handles repairs. Anytime he’s not at work, he’s kayaking down the Colne or cycling off-road with friends. Barry keeps things pretty lively around here!
Emma is our new Sales Advisor. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable, but she’s also an interior design student, bringing a unique perspective to our showroom. Outside of work Emma plays guitar in a band and bakes cakes. She has many helpful tips, so don’t hesitate to chat with her next time you’re in!
Dory is the G&M showroom dog. She loves long walks on the beach and meeting new customers. She always loves a treat and a cuddle.
